This newsreel documentary is from a 16mm early 1960s color film that was later captured on VHS tape from a projection screen. The VHS case was in poor condition and the tape was deteriorated. Once rescued, It was digitally enhanced by the Rincon Online Archives. The film, narrated in Spanish, tells about the origin and intent of the Bonus Nuclear Power Plant. It shows the ground-breaking ceremony led by then Governor Luis Muñoz Marín, Power Authority Chief Rafael Urrutia, California Congressman Chet Holifield and Rincon Mayor Manuel García.
